Before all this privacy-violating Snowden-crushing "web 2.0" crap,
there was Usenet, and before Usenet, there was Fidonet, fxsnet,
uucpnet, bitnet, arpanet, and before even that, you had large
centralized mainframes and mechanical teletype.

Before even that, you had mechanical pinball machines which later
evolved into the video games we know and love today.
